Accommodations for New Student & Admitted Student Events
new Student Orientation & Admitted Student Days
New Student Orientation (NSO) prepares students for their times as a 49er. New Student Orientation, required of all incoming 1st year and new transfer students, assists students and their family members with successfully transitioning to Niner Nation. Visit the New Student Orientation website to learn more.
Undergraduate Admissions offers Admitted Student Events that give prospective students the opportunity to spend the day connecting with academic departments, campus resources, and more. To learn more about Admitted Student Days Events, visit the Undergraduate Admissions website.
Accommodations and Access
Disability Services, the New Student Orientation team, and Admissions collaborate to ensure accessibility for attendees to these programs and events. Students needing reasonable accommodations to participate in any part of SOAR or an Open House event should contact Disability Services and SOAR or Open House Staff at least three weeks prior to the event date. DS staff are also available to meet with prospective students to discuss our registration process and services. Include requests for accommodations in your SOAR or Open House registration and list the accommodations needed.
Sign Language Interpreters, CART Services, or Alternate Text
Students needing sign language interpreters, CART services, or text in alternate format (e.g., Braille) must contact Disability Services and submit documentation at least 3 weeks prior to their SOAR or Open House date. Every effort is made to address accommodations requested late; however, we cannot guarantee accommodations for late requests.
